Blidworth Woods - Part 1 (November 2019)

The final selection of photography from November 2019 comes from a foggy and cold morning in  Blidworth Woods. There was a real feeling that winter had arrived with the first photograph of the day capturing the remnants of a hoar frost:


Foggy conditions are always good value for woodland photography. The diffusion simplifies the compositions and creates an appealing atmosphere to the final results. This is demonstrated in the following set of shots taken in the higher part of the wood using the dying bracken and remaining leaves as a colour source for the compositions:










This next set uses occasional bright patches and a longer focal length to create more of a monochromatic representation of the conditions:








I was going to finish November's photography with this post but there are more images from this visit to Blidworth Woods that I would like to show. I will therefore continue this selection in the next post, 'Blidworth Woods - Part 2'....
