The Ness (September 2026)

The final selection from September’s photography features the Ness at Shaldon. As autumn arrived, the weather became more unpredictable with misty, rainy and clear days. These changes, after weeks of perfect blue sky weather, made for more interesting photography.

I also noticed tree cutting had begun on the Ness in September to prevent further cliff falls over winter.  One of the photos below shows the work in progress – a head for heights essential for this job!

After weeks of clear skies, unsettled weather returns, tinged with the warm glow of the late evening sun. A few showers are developing over the channel.
