Froggatt Edge (December 2022)

A dusting of snow on Curbar and Froggatt Edges added some additional interest to a bright day in the Peak District. I particularly enjoyed the contrast between the cold harsh light looking towards Baslow and the softer, almost warming, sunlight in the opposite direction.

River Trent - December 2022

Bright blue skies, winter trees, and mirror-like reflections was the theme on the River Trent at Fiskerton. The results rival a set of photographs taken with autumn colours during October. Rarely I have I seen the Trent so calm, was the commentary only a few months ago!

December on the Southwell Trail - Part 1 (2022)

The bright end to November continued into early December with crisp clear mornings. Many of the oak trees retained their autumn glow for one last burst of autumn colour. Scenes taken only a week or so previously looked fresh and renewed in the low winter sunlight, perfect for the photography.
