Circular walk 6 of the Robin Hood Way starts in Farnsfield and makes its way to Robin Hood Hill via Combs Lane. Photographs from the early part of the walk, particularly the trees and fields around Combs Lane, have featured regularly in this photoblog.
On this occasion I completed about half of the route, missing out on the detour to Robin Hood Hill itself, and cutting back through Combs Wood.
These are a selection of the photographs taken during the walk on a fine bright day in mid-September. They show some of the last summer greens before the trees gradually turn towards autumn:
