In contrast to the freshness of the previous day, the snow on the ground now merged with a heavy grey mist and was looking dirty on the roads and fields.
Recording these scenes around the Combs Lane area, I was intrigued when the conditions changed and the mist gained an odd bluish tinge. The source was only revealed when the misty clouds parted for a momentary glimpse of the bright cyan skies above. Even the sun threatened to shine for a few seconds but was quickly re-smothered by a persistent fogginess:
