The fine bright weather in late December provided an ideal opportunity to get out along the trail and capture the sunlight on the winter trees. There was a freshness and clarity to the light that I had not seen along the trail for a while and I found the photography an enjoyable and uplifting experience.
These were some of the results and there were further opportunities to come as the clear weather continued with each day starting with a hard ground frost. I will show some of the frosty scenes in the next post:
