Robin Hood Hill (July 2019)

I last visited Robin Hood Hill and the surrounding farmland in spring when many of the fields were blooming with vibrant yellow oilseed rape flowers. Now, at the end of July, the crop had been harvested leaving only stubble in the ground. The parched looking landscape had a golden glow on the late evening sunlight providing a good opportunity for some summer landscapes:










Robin Hood Hill itself is grassland which is often grazed by sheep and I was again attracted to the sunlit colours set against a cyan sky:









Not all the fields had been harvested. The wheat crop was still maturing as shown in this final selection of photographs:
