Green's Windmill (February 2019)

Green's Windmill and Science Centre is a restored and working windmill in Sneinton, Nottingham. Built in the early 1800's it was owned by the mathematical physicist George Green (1793-1841). More information about the windmill and the current activities can be found here.

I had seen the windmill many times from the city without ever making a visit. It is strange thing but we often overlook places of interest that are on a doorstep. May be we only do tourism if it involves a proper journey to get there!

The photographs from the visit also had a tourist feel to them which I added to later by converting most of them to black and white with a heavy vignette. The results may be a bit cliched but I was happy to wear the tourist hat for an hour or so....
