For the first selection from this year's holiday to Lanzarote I have chosen a selection of abstracts taken at the villa. They are a good demonstration of the type of thing I look at when relaxing next to the pool! I really enjoy watching subtle changes in tones during the day as the white painted walls reflect the changes in light and colour temperature:
Interestingly, when I returned from holiday I saw a great selection of photographs from the
Architectural Photography Awards 2018 which includes an abstract image of a villa in Lanzarote - it has many of the same elements that I was trying to capture... but done an awful lot better!
