Robin Hood Hill (April 2021)

The fine evening light prompted a walk up to Robin Hood Hill. It had been a while since I had last visited this location and with some oilseed yellows in the fields it was an opportunity to capture the developing spring season. 

The photographs that I liked the most were taken right at the end of the walk near to Greaves Lane. The sun was about to set with the last rays of the day warming the oilseed crop and oak trees:





An alternative take on the oilseed crop was provided by streaks of yellow flowers angling across the fields below Robin Hood Hill:




The footpath after Robin Hood Hill makes its way down to Oxton Village with a return loop on a concessionary route. This is a pleasant walk through the lower part of the Oxton Estate and I particularly enjoyed a last opportunity to capture the leafless trees before the green cloak descended for the summer months.:
