River Trent (April 2021)

I continued the walks along the River Trent at Fiskerton during April capturing the emerging spring season. This location is fast becoming a favourite area for walking and it appeals to the type of photography that I really enjoy. 

There are two directions to walk from the car park at Fiskerton: one in the direction of Hazelford Lock and the other towards Farndon. From a photographic point of view both walks have a similar outlook - the river, the river bank, trees, and agricultural fields. Staythorpe Power Station comes into view on the Farndon stretch which adds variety, as does the weir at Hazelford Lock, but there is no clear and obvious starting point or go to compositions for the photography. These have to be developed over time in different conditions…hence the challenge and the enjoyment of the location.
