River Trent (April 2022)

Spring can often rival the autumn spectacle for tree colour. Perhaps it is more subtle in its display but the range of fresh lemon yellows and warmer ochre tones make an attractive combination for the photography. 

Timing is crucial though as the spring colours change quickly. It only takes a week or so for the leaves to show, develop, and then turn green in preparation for summer. 

This year I was lucky enough to get my timing right on a return to the River Trent, near to Fiskerton. The bare trees captured at the end of March had just started to their spring transition with the photography aided by some fine evening sunlight and still water reflections:
