Blanchbeck Lane (April 2022)

Blanchbeck Lane is a footpath near to Combs Lane which separates two fields. Both have trees either on the boundary hedge or standing alone and these are often subjects for the photography as part of my daily walks. Similar to the previous few posts, these daily walks provide opportunities to capture the progression of the season and document any changes. 

My main focus in early spring was the limes trees that started the season with a tinged of colour from the multitude of catkins before developing their full canopy of leaves. The transition was captured in the following set of photographs:
















Across the lane, lime was added to the field as preparation for this year's crops. This provided a different take on a familiar scene:










Towards the end of the month, deep ploughing had begun:
