Sherwood Glade (June 2018)

Whilst searching for Red Oaks (see my previous post) I stopped by a small wood of beech trees that I had photographed the previous summer. In this location, the darkness of the beech wood contrasts nicely with the open aspect of a forest glade emphasising the shapes of the trees and the cascading branches:















Near to Hanger Hill is another beech wood where I took the following shots to finish the afternoon's photography:
