Here I present more of the graffiti on the original Pechiguera Lighthouse in Lanzarote. I have tried to do this in way that picks out the colours, shapes and textures in an abstract format:

Lighthouse Abstracts
In my previous post I mentioned the graffiti on the original lighthouse at Punta Pechiguera, near Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Here I show some of the graffiti in a set of abstract images. It can be easy to be judgmental about graffiti. Mostly I find it unsightly and ugly yet close up, with the benefit of photo enhancement, some the colours, shapes, and textures, can be really engaging:

Pechiguera Lighthouse
The Pechiguera Lighthouse is connected to the centre of Playa Blanca by a paved coastal walkway and it is a key landmark in the area. Built in the 1980's it stands at 50m high and is an active lighthouse with a range of 17 nautical miles. As a result, I often found the lighthouse featuring in my photographs and these are a selection taken at different times during our holiday:
Next to the Pechiguera Lighthouse is the original lighthouse which operated from 1866 to 1988 and despite being listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural, a building of cultural interest, it is covered in graffiti:
