With an hour or so to kill in the south of the city, I headed for Holme Pierrepoint for a walk around the National Water Sports Centre and Country Park.
These days I am not only on the look out for photography opportunities but also subjects that may be suitable suitable for my artwork and thought the Holme sluice gates on the Trent might provide both. As the walk progress some of the early spring scenes also caught my eye:
