Looking back at the photography catalogue I can see that I have visited Robin Hood Hill nearly every year in springtime, often capturing the oilseed yellows as the crop is rotated around the Oxton Estate.
This year I was a little late for the peak of the colour, a few weeks earlier would have been better, but the colours were still strong for the following selection.
I also noted the last time these particular fields were planted with oilseed was in 2018 and here in a link to previous photography which includes a few facts about oilseed rape:
