Last Photography of 2019...

The fine clear sky weather of the previous day inevitably led to a misty start to New Year's Eve. This provided one last photographic opportunity of the year on Combs Lane. I had followed the trees in this location throughout the year, recording the seasonal changes as part of my doorstep photography project.

Doorstep photography includes only the photographs taken within walking distance of home and aims to gain a greater appreciation of my local surroundings and represents a small contribution to the pursuit of 'green' photography:

December on the Southwell Trail - Part 5

Sometimes the light on a particular day is so good it is worth continuing the photography until sundown and this was certainly the case right at the end of December (2019) as I moved from morning photography in Blidworth Woods, see my previous post, to the last rays of the day on the Southwell Trail. These were some of the results, in time order:

Blidworth Wood (December 2019)

If the winter tree and forest photography didn't get off to a great start, see my previous posts, it was put right in Blidworth Woods towards to the end of December. There was some fantastic light and just about enough moisture in the air to emphasize the sun's rays:











As the morning light touched the tops of the trees it created a warming glow particularly when set against the cloudless blue sky. All in all, a very enjoyable morning's photography:
