Whitecaps (April 2026)

Toward the end of April, a few windy days brought white-capped waves to shore. This contrasted with the benign conditions of the previous weeks.  Here are some scenes from both Teignmouth and Dawlish:

February on Combs Lane (2023)

A bright sunny day always provides inspiration for photography, even when the scenes are very familiar and photographed many times before. Of course, there is always the potential at this time of year for something a bit different, like the mid-February storm blowing clouds of dust towards Combs Lane.

Autumn Colours - Photography Week 46 (2016)

Mid-November and the autumn colours were still going strong on a windy afternoon in Clipstone forest. I used a slow shutter speed to capture some of the branch movement:







This set tried to make the most of the morning light in Foxcovert Nature Reserve:








Finally, some rustic colours on the Southwell Trail:
