When I got close enough to see the building's detailed lines and curves my initial impression was completely turned around. It does have a stunning elegance which I tried to capture in the following images. Having spent the time at street level looking up I was more accepting of the building at a distance but I doubt whether it will become one of London's best loved designs and I suspect it will always divide opinions.

Walkie Talkie Building
20 Fenchurch Street dominates the City skyline. On first sight I thought that it lacked elegance particularly when compared to other buildings like the Shard. This lack of elegance is emphasized by its apt nickname - the Walkie-Talkie building.
