City Canal - Photography Week 3 (2016)

The Nottingham and Beeston Canal runs through the city centre. Like many cities, Nottingham has undergone a number of years of regeneration. The canal area would now be described as a waterfront and is far removed from its industrial past.

One of my recurring photographic subjects in the city is canal reflections. A first sight there doesn't seem much to shout about. The water is a little murky and the colours are flat.

Image software, like Adobe Photoshop, is great at cutting through the murk and lifting the colours as illustrated in this before and after shot:
