Over Owler Tor - Photography Week 2 (2017)

Compacted snow and ice stopped me from taking the car up the road from Hathersage Booth to Higger Tor. I dare say a four wheel drive would have managed it but once my wheels started spinning I reversed back down and decided to play safe by staying on the snow free main roads.

The car park at Surprise View was clear and a walk up to Over Owler Tor seemed the best option. A bitter wind was the next challenge to contend with but it was worth the discomfort for the soft late afternoon sunlight:
