Maintenance on the Southwell Trail generally takes place during the winter months including repairs to the path, the clearing of undergrowth, and occasionally tree surgery. This year, one of the willow trees has been cut back with the removal of the overhanging branches. I guess these were deemed a potential hazard for walkers, cyclists, and for horse riders, in particular. From a photographic point, I will miss one of my compositions.
