Second Selection From Blidworth Woods

There are enough images from January’s hoar frost in Blidworth Woods for a second selection. The conditions were excellent for the photography and as stated in my previous post most of the compositions were made from one path in the woods. It was a simple case of taking a few steps, stopping, and selecting the details in front of me, which sounds easy, and it is, but the key is to avoid the temptation to move on too quickly believing that a better photo might be around the next bend or in a different location.

One of the features that particularly caught my eye for this selection was the dried leaves on the young oak trees adding colour to the frosted scenes:
