Winter on the Southwell Trail - Part 23

As I stated in my previous post, more snow in the latter part of March was unexpected and it started a new round of winter photography, extending the series on the Southwell Trail way beyond what was originally intended.

This particular weather sequence started with some mistiness along the trail:










Within a few days of the mist there were snow showers blown in on east winds. Some of these were heavy and snow can be seen whipping across the landscape in the photos below:





The snow didn’t really look like settling and there was even a few bright patches in between the showers:








However, overnight there was a significant snow fall which was quickly labelled the 'Beast from the East 2'. It provided yet another photo opportunity which I will cover in the next post.
