The Lace Market, Nottingham - Photography Week 13 (2016)

Prior to visiting the Nottingham Contemporary, I walked through the Lace Market area of Nottingham  City Centre.

Whilst most of the area has been renovated there is a building on Pilcher Gate that has remained  unoccupied for a number of years. I took this photograph in 2011:



It now appears that work has started to restore this building and a newly placed plaque on the wall identifies it as the oldest town house in Nottingham dating from the late 17th century - see the photographed information below together with a few up-to-date record shots of the pre-restored building:
