Colwick Park (September 2022)

I was inspired to restart my photography following a summer break by a quote from ‘Spring Cannot be Cancelled’ by David Hockney and Martin Gayford. Hockney says: 

“The world is very, very beautiful, but you’ve got to look hard and closely to notice that beauty”

Photography, I realised, doesn’t need to be more than that. Even on an overcast day in Colwick Park there is always something to see, something to capture, something beautiful: 

Surprise View (August 2022)

Although I had intended to take a complete break from photography over the summer, I couldn’t resist stopping at Surprise View in August to capture the heather in full bloom.
